Burnham Without Parish covers a large area to the east of Burnham on Sea and Highbridge.

The parish is quite diverse in nature with both a large rural element comprising the hamlets of Watchfield and Edithmead and a number of isolated farms together with totally different modern urban housing developments along the edges of Burnham on Sea and Highbridge.

The Parish is split into three Wards for administrative purposes:-

Edithmead Ward is represented by two parish councillors and covers Edithmead, Watchfield, Walrow and parts of Poples Bow.

Brue Ward is also represented by two parish councillors and covers properties in the following roads along the south-eastern fringe of Burnham on Sea - Cookson Close, Gielgud Close and Thorndike Way together with four properties in Shaw Path and  Stoppard Road.

Marine Ward is represented by three parish councillors and covers Mulholland Park, Beale Way, Hatcher Close, Havage Close, Heal Close, Hooper Close, Lawrence Close, Stone Road, Wallace Wells Close and the northern side of Worston Road in Highbridge.

The Parish Council meets every other month, usually on a Monday evening at 7.00 p.m. in Watchfield Village Hall. Topics include planning applications, highway issues, the Neighbourhood Plan and finance. Copies of the agenda are displayed on this web-site in the information section. The public are welcome to attend and can address the Council at an open session at the start of meetings.
